Day Three

I went to two shows on day three of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Cape Town - Thula Sindi/Ruald Reeder and Michelle Ludek/Ruff Tung.

Michelle Ludek

It was really cool meeting Michelle Ludek in person, she is so lovely. Michelle told me that this time she pushed herself really hard and delivered what she feels is her best collection yet.

I’ve always loved Michelle’s dresses. So fresh and fashionable. I met the jewelry designer’s father (he sat next to me at the show) and he was telling me all about her. I love how different the pieces are. In fact, it was the best jewelry I’d seen at fashion week!

Ruff Tung

I had never seen a collection by Ruff Tung until last week Friday. Mint green, glitter and white garments, and you’ve got me hooked already. There were many vintage inspired pieces, so I am thrilled to feature this in the next issue of VL magazine.

Thula Sindi

SO different to anything he’s ever done. What a beautiful collection. Again, anything that shimmers or has accentuated shoulders, has my attention. So that makes these two my favourites.
