The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s Classic Revisited features 113 portraits shot by Karl Lagerfeld himself. Who knew he had so many talents a part from fashion designing? He chose his favourite people to model the classic black Chanel jacket. I love how each shot is unique and sort of describes their personalities. Karl’s right hand creative, Carine Roitfeld, is on the cover – she pulled off the look of Coco Chanel so well (even has the signiture pearls and gold scissors). And obviously the book closes with a picture of Anna Wintour.

Makes a great collectors item, huh?

I am definitely going to get this book! Karl is a designing genius and also quite a talented photographer! I dream of a Chanel jacket someday.

I will have to find this book because these photos are AMAZING. The 3rd photo is my very favorite, I can’t tell if it’s an applied tatto or facepaint or maybe a mask, but it is so interesting and cool looking. (Very striking visually.) And the dress in the 4th photo is so fantastic, it must have taken so much time to make it!
