birthday fun.

23rd of February

I turned 21. I honestly had the best birthday ever. I got woken up by my mom and my Luke with roses, tea, beautiful birthday cards and gifts. My sister and her bf also popped in before they went to work to wish me, and if you knew my sister, you’d know that that’s a miracle as she loves her sleep.

Luke gave me my first ever Tiffany & Co item from New York! YAY.

My mom knows yellow roses are my favourite. I got a Canon lens from her – I literally screamed when I opened the box.

My sister knows I love Chloe.

The newest edition to my jewelry box: A beautiful tanzanite ring (with a matching necklace) all the way from England from my grandparents. I miss them so much.

Luke took me to The Mount Nelson for a morning High Tea.

Ewald (my sisters bf) gave me this rad bag.

The Pink Lady has pretty gardens.

Luke surprised me and took me to the 15 on Orange hotel for a massage and facial. Afterwards – as if it couldn’t get any better – I had champagne and swam in the rooftop pool.

I can’t help but have the song ‘Tangerine’ by Led Zeppelin playing in my head when I look at these pictures. Winter doesn’t have to be so dull after all.

Victoria Beckham A/W 2013

I’m a huge fan of Victoria Beckham. I used to dress up as Posh Spice, collect posters of her, read every single book about her, etc.

All of that aside though, I love this collection. I’d wear every single piece. Victoria is really proving herself as a designer.

Christian Dior Couture

Yesterday afternoon, after a really long day, I decided to relax a bit and catch up on all the couture shows. I loved Christian Dior, probably because of the 50’s inspiration – court shoes, pencil skirts, waistbelts etc.

For a couture show I find it’s very wearable…which is good in a sense…but don’t we all want to see the fantasy in the couture? Garments we’ll never wear but love to look at? Although if I could afford a piece or two from this collection, I’d love them and they’d certainly be investments…but maybe they should have kept this for RTW? Just my opinion.

Which was your favourite couture show?
