BOOTilicious

Winter’s almost here in South Africa. For us in Cape Town, it feels like it’s braced us with it’s presence already!

Although I love summer, winter’s always fun to layer your clothes, especially accessorizing with scarves, beanies/berets and my favourite…boots.

I have a variety of different styles boots, but this year I’ve decided to take a turn from my normal stiletto-boot buys….

We all know you HAVE to have knee-highs this season, so for myself, instead of having high or chunky heels, I’m opting for flat knee-highs. Another style I’m falling in love with is the Balmain-combat-style boots. They go so well with winters grunge/military look and are extremely comfy. If you want to see how to wear them, have a look at Balmain’s autumn/winter09 and spring/summer10 collection. In SA ELLE’s May issue the combat boot is featured – which means the ELLE team have given them the OK for winter!

I find I do a lot of walking around town and for that reason I’m opting for comfort - flat knee-highs and combats. Luckily for me, I’ll still be on trend, right?

With your tights, skinnies, leggings, leathers, they’ll look great. A beanie or BF Blazer will give it that grunge look.

These are so stylish. I’d go for these!

Balmain, what can I say? Definitely one of my favourite designers.

I can’t wait to come home after a long day, kick off my boots, snuggle up with a cup of tea and a good book. That’s what winter is for ;) So, instead of a drabby winter, lets make it a stylish one :D

  1. Hello Nix! Oh yes I love shoes, cool boots are just great! It’s so much fun that you’re going to have Winter soon. I’m going to have Summer here. Haha.

Glad you been blogging mad again, now keep it up! :) i luuuuuurve those combat type boots, can i afford them- NO, a pity indeed cos they are damn stylish! I need winter friendly, but at the same time wallet friendly clothes for varsity and it soooo lame to do outfit repeat when there are stylish gals all over, so spending R200 on an item of clothing has unfortunately become R200 for about 3 outfits! I am slowly building up a wardrobe of clothes, but then what happens? No shoes!! aHHH sucks so bad, why must money be so junk and why must it cost so much to be trendy!!!??? Just give me a million bucks and i’ll buy Edgars or something! lol. Wow i basically commented a blog here shjoe! Anyways keep it up, miss ya and love ya Pookie! xxx
